Workshop: Seeing Color

  • Seward Park Audubon Center 5902 Lake Washington Boulevard South Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

In this workshop, Lorene will talk about color, it’s role in a pleasing landscape, and how her creative practice has introduced an expansiveness to the way she views the world. All students will participate in a hands-on exercise using watercolors to record colors found in fragments of the natural world, a tiny blossom, a leaf, or a twig. This is not botanical illustration, but an exercise in learning to see with fresh eyes, and an opportunity to slow down, focus, and savor the season.

No experience needed, all materials included
