Color In and Out of The Garden

  • New York Botanical Garden 2900 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY, 10458 United States (map)

UPDATE: This workshop has been cancelled due to a COVID exposure in my household.

Color is about seduction. It is one of nature's most sophisticated tools to capture the attention of all living creatures. Join author of the newly released Color In and Out of the Garden Lorene Edwards Forkner as she shares how the color studies she paints and posts on her Instagram @gardenercook help her to slow down and savor the season. You'll try your hand at using her watercolor technique to record colors found in fragments of the natural world, from a tiny blossom or a leaf to a twig. Bring your own botanicals; we'll provide the rest.
